What I'm Packing: Hawaii Honeymoon Edition

I wanted to share a few things on my packing list as I’m getting ready to leave for our wedding! We’re going to Utah for six days and then the day after our wedding we’ll be going to Maui for nine days for our honeymoon.

My staple outfit for the honeymoon is my favorite shorts paired with a white tank and sandals or sneakers. All of my daytime outfits are either shorts and a tee shirt or a casual dress. I’m also taking a cropped sweater that’s easy to throw on in the evening when it’s cooler. And of course, swimsuits! My opinion is that you can never have too many swimsuits. Aaron thinks you only need one or two… but I’m the kind of person that thinks one for each day is reasonable. Below are my three favorites that I got for the honeymoon as well as a couple of cover-up skirts to go with them.

We have a sunset dinner cruise planned, as well as a few nice dinners, so I’m taking a satin slip skirt, a couple of LoveShackFancy dresses, and a pair of wedges. I also impulse ordered a satin scarf on Amazon and love that it can be worn as both a head wrap and a top! There are a ton of color options, but I picked this one because I thought it would go perfectly with my brown and cream swimsuits as well as the pinkish nude skirt.

Whenever I’m packing for a trip, I make a note in my phone where I plan my outfits beforehand. This helps me to be more organized when packing and make sure that everything I’m packing has a purpose. I love neutrals, and I try to bring items that can mix and match. Somehow I still usually end up packing more than I need, but I don’t think that’s likely to change anytime soon.
