For spring break this year I finally made it to Boston to visit my sister and her family. I had never been before, so it was a great opportunity to visit. Unfortunately, it’s March… so that made for cold and gloomy weather.
On the one sunny day while I was there, we went to Seaport so I could take family/maternity pictures for them. It was still SO cold and windy, but my niece was a trooper even though she was absolutely frozen. I added some of my favorite pictures below, and you can see more of their family session in my portfolio, here.
We also went to the North End to see some of the historic architecture and get some good Italian food. I couldn’t decide between the pasta and lobster roll, so I got both. 🙂 We got cannolis from the two famous pastry shops, Mike’s and Modern, so we could compare and decide for ourselves which one is best. The verdict is Modern!
Even though the weather was cold, I was happy to hang out with my niece at home (not to mention I still had MBA classes to join via Zoom while I was there which were pretty late with the time change). My niece is very much a girly-girl, so we had a girls’ night painting nails and toenails, and she loved having me pretend to do her makeup with her toy cosmetics set. I’m looking forward to going back someday when the weather is better!
