Every year, law schools around the country host their own Barristers’ Ball, which is essentially just law school prom. This year ours was hosted at a hotel in downtown San Jose, so Aaron and I got a hotel room to stay downtown and made a weekend out of it. Unfortunately, I was in a huge hurry to get out the door and completely forgot my curling iron or any hair supplies as well as a couple of makeup products I needed, but we made it work!
We had such a fun time hanging out with Paige and Andrew at Barristers’, and then we headed to a bar downtown for the after party. My feet were absolutely hating me by the end of the night.
I would never say no to an opportunity to get dressed up, and I was obsessed with my dress. Now I’ll be looking for another excuse to wear it again!
Since we don’t live particularly close to that area, it was also the perfect excuse to go graduation shopping at the Valley Fair mall on Sunday before driving home. Aaron is gifting me a pair of shoes to wear at graduation, so it was fun to go to the Louboutin boutique together to try on some options and pick out a pair. Aaron made me promise not to get them out until my graduation. Of course, graduation is exciting in and of itself, but it’s fun to also look forward to wearing my new shoes to make the day extra special.
