After kicking off the summer with so many fun events like graduation, Portland, and New York, the rest of the summer flew by. Because I was working full-time at my internship and still doing MBA classes in the evening/online, there wasn’t anything major going on.
My highlight of the summer apart from my internship trips was seeing Taylor Swift in Santa Clara! She’s been my favorite artist ever since I fell in love with Teardrops on My Guitar and Tim McGraw before they were ever played on the radio. And now I’m dating myself, but this was all way back before streaming so I bought the CDs for every album and still have them in my car. I had never been able to see her in person before, so this wasn’t just a highlight of my summer—it was a highlight of my life! (Is that too dramatic?) Aaron bought my two tickets for Christmas last year, so I invited my cousin, Megan, to come visit and go to the concert with me. She’s pregnant but was still such a trooper standing up, dancing, and singing with me the whole time!
Aside from that, Aaron and I celebrated my birthday in July, I had some events with the company I’m interning for in San Francisco, and I spent a lot of time at Pilates and the pool. I wrapped up my internship last week and am so sad about it. Luckily my manager is in San Francisco, so I was able to have a farewell dinner with her. Now I’m back in school full-time for my FINAL SEMESTER!
